oh right i see you wanted to fill your pockets with some console gamer cash, that explains everything.' 'hang on a minute, couldnt you have improved the gameplay but kept the graphics from x-3 or even ,heaven forbid, made them even better? why in the world would you decide to make them worse. but imagine if egosoft released x-4 (highly unlikely) and it looked like x-2. they knew it would mean they could sell on consoles as well, and make more money.īut once again i would stress that this isnt about being all about the graphics. obviously though they werent being irrational, they were being clever. So on that basis its totally irrational to downgrade the graphics so much on their part.

this isnt enjoying some cool classic or appreciating the delightful art style and gameplay mechanics of a new game. if we were talking about a brand new game then also, fair enough, thats the way they wanted to go with it. If we were talking about an old game then fair enough. but here's the main reason why i disagree with your disagreement. and furthermore i have more indie games than you can shake a stick at. clearly i dont play games to look at nice pictures, i play to have fun.

Sorry I strongly disagree there, graphics I admit are getting better, but again you don t need good graphics for a great game, there are also plenty of small indie games out there, which are fun to play, and don't need such a huge rig to play, Evochron Legends, Jets n guns, lava mortis, Mr robot, and many many more, personally I think they are the future for PC gaming while more and more publishers seem to be turning their backs on the PC, which is a shame, but there are plenty of indie games out there, and plenty of them do have good value for money, some don't look that great, but the gameplay is top notch then they will sell, and many do, also computers are pretty pricely to keep upgrading, to keep on top of the latest hardware, so any game that doesn't make the mistake of going all graphics is a good thing, again gameplay matters, plenty of games I still play, TA I just picked up from impulse, a real classic in its own right and still stands the test of time, as it still beats many RTS today, but anyway that is my view
